What is the story behind Chato's?
Chato's One Night Food Stand brings home-cooked family recipes from El Salvador to the public, made from scratch with authentic Central American ingredients. We are also proud organizers and part founders of @tasteofphoenix_foodtrucks, hosting monthly food truck competitions, music festivals, and car shows around the Phoenix area. County Line BBQ is our second truck, built on the same standards.
What does Chato's One Night Food Stand serve?
Authentic Salvadorian and Latin street food. The top items: pupusas, El Salvador's national dish — revuelta (pork, bean, cheese), cheese, jalapeño and cheese, or bean and cheese, served with curtido and homemade salsa — plus the Putaco topped with carne asada and the Birria Pupusa. The menu also includes street tacos, quesabirrias with consome, rolled tacos, Papa Locas, esquites, tenders, corn dogs, churros, funnel fries, and plantain canoes.
What does County Line BBQ serve?
BBQ plates: brisket, pull pork, rack of ribs, sausage links, and chicken popsicles. Sandwiches piled high: pulled pork, brisket, BBQ chicken, and sausage. Tex-Mex favorites: brisket tacos, pulled pork tacos, and nachos. Bites and sides: loaded nachos, loaded baked potato, side salad, cole slaw, mac n cheese, and cowboy chili. Everything is smoked low and slow, fresh every day. No shortcuts.
What should I order on my first visit?
Start with the pupusas. The Revuelta (pork, bean, and cheese) is the classic, or go bold with the Putaco topped with carne asada or the Birria Pupusa. Add quesabirrias with consome or Papa Locas, and finish with churros or funnel fries. At County Line BBQ, the brisket and rack of ribs are the move.
